Sun Lovin’ Roots launched a year ago today!
I can’t believe that a year ago today, I leaped into the unknown and set out to fulfill a lifelong dream of mine. I really had no idea what I was doing (it’s true)! I had a dream, the inspiration and felt like it was the perfect time to give my dream a go. If not now, when – I remember chanting to myself. Because let’s face it, there is never a perfect time to do anything- sometimes you just have to get your idea out there, then figure it out as you go. And that is exactly what I have done. I have learned SO much over the last year, which combines the good, with the bad, to the “what the heck was I thinking” moments – and there were plenty of those, trust me! But here I am, a year later and I am truly grateful for every single moment that has gotten me to this exciting milestone.
Which brings me to you, beauty.
I am so thankful that you have chosen to come on this journey with me. I appreciate the support you have given me over the last year. Without you, Sun Lovin’ Roots wouldn’t exist and I know this… so from the bottom of my Sun Lovin’ heart, thank you so much.
When I launched I remember I had a million questions running through my head like: What if I fail? What if people don’t like what I am doing? What if everyone laughs at me? What if… What if… What if… It really did keep me up at night. Putting myself out there for the world to see and not knowing what the outcome would be was extremely scary. But here I am, a year later, and if I had listened to my “What if” BS I wouldn’t be here. So I guess the point I am trying to make is that you never know what the outcome will be. I don’t have it all figured out, but I am learning as I go. I am truly excited to see what year two has in store for my - once upon a time dream, that has turned into a reality! So if there is something you have been dreaming about doing, now is the time to take action. Don’t wait until you have it all figured out, because if you do that you will never start.
First step is to give your dream life. Which means you need to get it out of your head, so do this by writing it down on paper. Thoughts are just thoughts until we take action. So NOW is the perfect time to give life to whatever it is that you have been thinking/dreaming about.
So what’s next?
I do plan on incorporating more recipes and getting back to my health coaching ways this next year. Fashion and wellness are my passions and I want to bring more of the health/wellness back, which basically means, we will be some balanced babes! Because the way I see it, balanced beauties are the happiest. So look for more healthy livin’ inspo and recipes that will help you along your own health and wellness journey, as well as, designing your next favorite tees. I will always strive to make tees that aren’t just your average tee.
